Decorating the nursery is fun and connects you with that baby before the momentous event has even occurred. One of the first things you should do is select a paint color to use with the baby room themes. Make sure to bring a color sample of the walls in the nursery with you when you go shopping. If you haven’t painted the room yet, you can pick a color to match the baby bedding.
The choices of design and themes are practically endless, be it via internet sites or from ordinary shops. There are lots of baby bedding sets that are gender-neutral, as well and many that are specific to a boy or a girl. Some baby bedding is sold only as a set but many are sold by the piece.
A fitted sheet for the mattress in the crib, is one of the first items you will need for your baby. A matching or coordinating crib skirt is offered with almost all patterns of baby bedding. A skirt hides the bottom of the crib and makes the crib look more finished. Bumpers are available in most patterns, though this should not be put in the crib until the infant is a year old.
Medical experts caution that there should be no bumper in an infant’s crib, until the child is at least one year old, because crib bumpers contribute to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). SIDS experts advise you not to place any soft items in the crib, like stuffed animals, pillows, and blankets, while your baby is there.
Most of the time, decorative valances and curtains are included in baby bedding patterns, such as Trend Lab Max baby bedding.
Diaper pail is a must for baby’s nursery. Each supplier has their own way of doing things, some will sell you a disposal bag at the beginning which can be topped up with refills, still others will offer bags exactly the same as you’d get in a normal store. The different pails have different levels of odor control and different prices; you’ll need to do some analysis to determine which one suits your needs and budget best.
It is so exciting creating the nursery and picking out sleepers.
